What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I have strong leadership capabilities and an unmatched will to win. I’m super competitive. I hate losing more than I hate winning, and I will do anything in my power to help my team win football games. I was All-Region my 11th grade year, and I was All-Region, All-State, and was named an All-Star my senior year. My senior year I played Slot Back and had 58 receptions for 645 yards and 3 touchdowns, as well as 42 carries for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns. My teams quarterback was injured our first game and I played the second game of the year at quarterback and completed 7 out of 12 passes for 55 yards and 1 touchdown. I also returned 2 kickoffs for a touchdown, one was 92 yards and the other was 89. I strive everyday to perfect my craft and would love a chance to play at the collegiate level.

Young was the big play guys for his HS, which made it deep into the GISA playoffs before losing to Memorial Day (if memory services correct). He is a tough slot receiver, who has just okay speed, but a whole lot of determination shrugging off tackles. The senior consistently turns shorts plays into 10-20 yard ones. He does a great job of coming back to the pass and attacking the football – that really caught my eye. His ability to break tackles out in space is pretty good and we see him consistently make the first guy miss. His rushing total took a really big hit when he had to play QB I would guess. Young doesn’t dominate the competition, but he makes a lot of plays, and shows outstanding hands going up for passes. The senior is a sound football player. He gives it his all at every position he lines up at.
