Simmons is ultra aggressive linebacker who has been a multi-year starter for Meadowcreek at the linebacker spot. His senior year he made 70 tackles, and was the best player on their defensive squad. He gets downhill fast, shoots the gaps and is a big hitter. The senior lacks any hesitation when going in for an attempt and just goes straight through the ball carrier. He is a well coached football player and displays the awareness to stop a play before it can get started. Love the energy the senior plays with and he can get out to the sideline in a hurry. He looks like a prototypical WILL prospect at this point in his development. Simmons went up against a tough 7-A schedule in Georgia. His team made the playoffs for the first time in school history, and it was his energy and leadership that made a major difference. Simmons is a dog out there on the field, and will get off blocks from P5 football players, then make a play in the backfield. If he was a few inches taller that would help his chances, but you got to love his energy and how he fills the hole.
