Hartley is a 2020 QB that is still very much growing into his body, but can flat out sling the rock. He moves well in the pocket, steps up quickly into his throws. Reads the pass rush well, flushes out while keeping his eyes down field. Really like his release point and how high it is, Hartley demonstrates a really good base to work with for a young QB. He’s got solid size, and runs with good intelligence with his cuts, but really needs to focus on his agility – he needs to be quicker with his lateral movements. What I really like about Hartley is how quick his release is, he can snap the ball off really quickly and have the ball at the 2nd level of the defense before they can really react.
