James is the definition of a leader for his squad, and hs been instrumental in their success this year. He flows to the football, and is a born big hitter who explodes through the hips on each tackle attempt. The multi-sport star has good field awareness, and quickly attacks the ball carrier. He plays well with his eyes, doesn’t get fooled on the read option either. James does a nice job of settling his hips and feet before a tackle attempt and react quickly to any change of direction. He also played RB and WR on offense as he was one of their better playmakers. James does a great job of playing with leverage and is quick getting off blocks. He is exceptionally at reading the screen pass and attacking it. James lacks top end speed, but his high football IQ allows him to be in the right spot more times than not regardless.
