Pugh has good defensive back instincts and shows the reactions and tenacity to be a good nickle at the next level. He is very aggressive and does a nice job of setting up his tackle. Push has quick feet and reacts quickly to the ball carrier, which helped him bring down some of the more elusive athletes in the state last year. Would like to see him not hop at the snap and to slide his feet. Needs some more work in pass coverage and definitely specializes the most in open field tackling at this point. Needs to get quicker with his hips and just need more film of him in coverage at this point. Very good student, Pugh is a solid safety prospect but probably projects best at nickle or with some extra work, playing at CB at the next level.
