What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

My passion for the game. My attitude i come to work everyday and will give you 110%. I’m greater leader and teammate. I have the longest touchdown record at Hillgrove history (99 yards.)

Smith is a smooth operator at running back and definitely a player who caught our eye in the Corky Kell last year. What you really have to like about Smith is decision making. He does a very good job of following his blocks and reading the defense. He accelerates pretty well going through the hole, but could certainly see him increase his acceleration as well. Smith gets his pad level low, and will get the tough yards between the trenches. He has a good body composition, and should be around 210 at the next level. Smith is not going to burn defense with elite speed, but I think he can certainly take it to another level. His forward pad lean and good pad level keeps the pile moving and by far his best skill that he has developed so far. Smith does a good job of squaring his pads up field, he does very little juking and just works for getting the defender in bad pursuit angles by reading them down field instead of making sudden jukes.
