Blevins ended up with 100 tackles on the year. He’s a very good athlete who played basketball last year. Did a tomahawk with two hands in one highlight. What I like about the new football player is his motor, and how he seems to close on the football quicker than almost all of his teammates. It’s no wonder that he is leading his team in tackles. He is still filling out his frame by a good bit, but he can definitely add weight. Also, Blevins seems to have a long wing span, and even though he is not using them much yet to disrupt the passing lanes or cause fumbles, I think there is a potential for for him to affect a team’s passing attack. Very promising junior prospect, looks like a strong safety or OLB at this point.
