Whatley has good straight line speed and the athletic build to either play wide receiver or running back at the next level. The junior from Darlington played a major role in his teams success last year and he figures to repeat this year rushing for big numbers. One attribute that stands out is his ability to maintain balance thru contact. Whatley’s versatility makes him an ideal prospect with every team running a spread and he looks like a legit FBS prospect.

Very shifty, able to make players miss. Very good build and leg drive. He is tall like a receiver but can also run low and durable. Predict he goes D1 easily.

  2. Come on this kid is easily a 4 star player. 6’2, 190lbs with the ability to break tackles in the trenches and juke you in space. Also the speed to out run you to the side line. Very strong leg drive, and has a nose for the end zone. This kid should get plenty more offers. One of the best I have seen in awhile, not many players have his physique and athletism.
