Martin is a player we heard a lot coming out his sophomore year, and his junior film is him littered with nice explosive plays. He changes directions quickly. The added 20 lbs. to his frame has added more explosion to his running, and Martin is hitting his top speed earlier. Does a solid job of keeping his pads vertical. Keeps feet moving. He might play QB, but Martin should be viewed as a skill player. Martin is certainly making good progress in terms of being an athlete. He has above average balance. Running vision is pretty good but would like see him look for cutbacks more often. Martin tends to want to go out wide and rely on his speed. One thing you can bet on with Martin is little juking. He’s going to get upfield. I think some option teams might entertain his ability to throw a football, but would probably be better served as a slot back.
