Just like his brother he is a quick reactor to the play, and gets off blocks to help out with the tackle. He is tough in press coverage, getting the receiver off-balance on his release. Looks to be playing more of a nickle role right now, which seems to be the exact same position route his bother took, which worked really well, and he committed to UGA awhile back ago for the 2018 class. Smith is slotted to be the starting CB this year at Hapeville after being a key contributor on special teams and passing down situations. He plays really well with his eyes, and the pursuit angles he take are great. Smith has a natural feel at reading the play and anticipating the direction really well. Those same reactions allow for him to have an impact on passes where he shows good coordination attacking the pass and raking the ball out.
He’s a great momentum changer, great teammate, leader, and finisher he’s everything you expect out of a a hapeville hornet.
