Esan is a bull out there on the field and really does a great job of fighting off blocks and making an impact in the backfield. He does a good job getting leverage, and is quick enough to blow by most offensive lineman. The 2019 recruit is an all out hustle type of guy. He thrives in the trenches, has really quick hands and seems to relish contact. Against all comers we saw Esan play well taking on multiple blockers and continuing to fight through the trash to make a play. He is a really good tackler, does a nice job of meeting the ball carrier square in the numbers and exploding through the hips. I would like to see him continue to improve his lateral quickness, get better leverage on the lineman and keep a flat back while engaged. His toughness should be a welcomed asset to many colleges around the country. Over 90 tackles his senior year, and 5 sacks with 19 tackles for loss. Esan made our All-State team for his dominating performance inside the trenches. He is a disruptive force in the middle who keeps his energy high throughout the play.
