Tchatcha built on his solid junior season, and took his game to the next level making a lot of plays in pass coverage including two long pick six plays. He looks like a WILL at the next level. He’s doing a great job of meeting the ball carrier square on, showing good tackling fundamentals, solid leg drive through contact. He is playing really strong at the point of attack, and getting off his blocks. Last year the senior looked a little raw, even in pass coverage, which is a strong suit, but wasn’t playing to his full athletic potential. This year he is reacting a lot quicker to the ball and taking full advantage of his speed, while also playing with a ton of hustle in pursuit of the ball carrier. Colleges have to like his potential at the next level – he should be able to pack on another 15-20 lbs and continue to develop his pass coverage skills. He seems like an ideal prospect to stop spread offensive teams.
