Banks is the best all-around athlete at North Cobb Christian with excellent top end acceleration and very good tackling form. He does a terrific job of dropping his hips and exploding through the tackle attempt. Banks blew up a few ball carriers in 2019 and only weighed 180 lbs. At 6’2″ he should really fill out his frame. Banks is tenacious coming off the edge, and shows a big time motor getting after the ball carrier. Looking at his weight lifting numbers, there is a ton of upside here, but really need to see him get in the weight room and take a leap with his bench and power clean numbers specifically. I’m big on Banks, and think that with the right training, the 2021 defender could end up being around 220-230 at the college level. His speed and intensity he plays the game with would perfect against a spread offense. I would like to see more of the 2021 recruit in pass coverage. Banks is a must watch next fall, if he takes that jump in the weight room then he could be a legit killer in Class A, because he is just a natural at closing on the ball carrier and tackling.
