What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

400+ rush yards on 45 carries and 9.5 average

Kell is never short on running back talent dating all the way back to Jonathan Dwyer in just the first few years, and that trend doesn’t seem to buck under Barrett. The 6′ back has already put on 10 lbs in the last year and should be a lot closer to 190 for his senior year. He’s got a nice vertical running style and just cuts up the defense with sharp cuts. Has some nice hesitations moves at the LOS that pan out nicely. What I like the most about Barrett is the patience he shows and the subtle quick jukes he is capable of making. Watching the 2021 recruit split two Starr’s Mill players really showcases his deceptive running instincts. Barrett needs get more forward with his running, he tends to get too upright with his running. He does a nice job of driving his legs through the tackles. Want to see more production from Barrett at the varsity level and for him to earn more reps splitting carries with the 2023 back. I think a really strong senior year will get more D1 programs on his radar. He averaged 9.2 yards per carry as a junior, but only had 40 carries, would like to see him a whole lot closer to 100.
