What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I love to work hard, I’m very coachable and I try to go above and beyond. I was named player of the week, Iron Indian of the week and my first start I had 8 carries, 138 yards and 2 touchdowns in two quarters. More stats to come.

A few local reporters just beamed about Wardlaw when he was at Vidalia, so him moving up to Brookwood against the top competition in the state was going to be interesting to monitor. He’s got great size, and from all accounts has been a huge factor in Vidalia’s top 10 season in Class AA as a junior. Wardlaw moves pretty well for his size. Over at Brookwood, he has primarily played OLB where he is getting off the edge and making some nice plays in the open field. He fires thru the gap with excellent intensity, and something stands out from his senior film is lower pad level when making a tackle. There is still a lot of profile tackles for Wardlaw, but has excellent leg drive when he meets the ball carrier, and he keeps those feet moving too. He carries his weight really well, and should be able to add another 20 lbs with out losing any speed, making him an intriguing SAM at the next level. Nice fit as a 3-4 OLB, has the size to take on blocks and tough player too.
