Walker will be playing his final year at Decatur. The 2019 quarterback has played well during the offseason winning a few top 5 QB nominations over the last year. He’s grown about 3 inches over the last few years, and understandable that his footwork can get a little wonky. He has a strong enough arm, and a frame that should get his weight to near 200 pounds. Seeing some form of legit production at the varsity level will be instrumental to his success. Walker is mostly an unproven QB, there is no way around that, and most of his SR year he was injured, but when he was healthy he completed over 60% of his passes (22/33) and 431 yards for 6 touchdowns in just 6 quarters. He was looking good no doubt, and the impressive offseason camp film was translating to on the field success, but an early injury sideline him, then he broke his hand against Riverwood even with a great start to the the game. Walker is a the type of recruit you take a flyer on, but understand his arm is considerable stronger than your average HS quarterback.
