What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I have been playing football since I was 5 yrs old and developed a passion for the sport the moment I hit the field. My coaches and trainers have all been former collegiate and professional athletes. They have helped to develop my broad football IQ and athletic ability to allow me to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. My parents and teachers are preparing me for the rigors of the classroom which compliments what I bring to the football field. I will bring Grit, Desire and a “can do/will do” attitude to any program that selects me. I will also push others to succeed and be a role model that reflects respect/appreciation for others. Lastly, my work ethic and ambition will fuel my on the field performance as well as keep me focused on my pursuit of a college degree.
Booker has been a two year starter for Fayette County playing both wide receiver and defensive back. He’s arguable the best athlete on the team, showing an athletic burst right when he catches the ball. He keeps his hips on swivel, displays excellent change of direction and really quick feet in short spaces. We really like his pursuit angles, he does a great job of coming from the backside with a ton of hustle. The 2019 recruit has strong hands, gets good leverage on his opponent and does a great job of pushing the ball carrier back into pursuit. He has a great feel for the game, could play a number of positions at the next level including free safety, cornerback or slot receiver. Expect local colleges to be really interested in the strong student athlete and for him to get a lot of camp invites. Would like see him increase his power clean and if he’s not signed up for track yet, then he certainly should! Expect Booker to be close to 180 this time a year from now.
