Hyde reads the play pretty quickly and just reacts. He can read the routes pretty quickly, and then once he does he does a really nice job getting a jump way earlier than the offense would expect. He is a tough player, really physical laying his body on the line. Does a good job driving his leg through the blocker, but needs to do a better job of setting the edge. Hyde ended up with about 9 PBU’s on the season and around 60 tackles as well. He is a tenacious player getting off his blocks, very strong at the point of attack. Seriously, Hyde takes on athletes 30 lbs bigger than him and just scrapes right off making a tackle out in the flat. His high energy mindset is perfect to play at a nickle position where he is closer to the LOS. Hyde can also make an instant impact on special teams too.
