Lavant has continued to grow the last few year, and originally he looked like a SS but now at over 200 lbs and an inch taller he can definitely play OLB at the next level. Very good coverage skills still, and he gets a good bit of interceptions on film. Lavant tackling is solid, sometime he just uses his arms. Ability to change direction is by far his best skill, and he is very good playing against the read option. Lavant is very quick reacting to the play, and pounces on the ball carrier into the backfield. Needs to drop his hips and get better with his tackling. Lavant has some good upside, and general acceleration is impressive, P5 level even, so just continuing to get stronger while sharpening up his tackling technique will make a big difference in his recruitment.
