What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Pride, Character & Work Ethic

Spell has over 50 pancakes during his junior year at Wayne County. At 6’6″ and 320 lbs., he is one of the biggest offensive linemen in this recruiting class. He gets out his stance pretty quickly and is capable of sliding over to make a block faster than expected. Obviously at his size, there are moments where he dominates based off shear size, but the lateral quickness caught our attention right away. He does sometimes block a little too high, but that tends to happend when he gets to the 2nd level. When he matches straight up with a defensive linemen he does a solid job of getting leverage. Would like to see him continue to work on core strength and body control while engaged. Solid leg drive while blocking, but could definitely get stronger, especially in the hips. Spell is a recruit that should catch the attention of almost every D1 program, and I think the biggest question mark will be his pass blocking. There is not a ton of film in that area, but that solid agility suggest he should be able to grow as a pass blocker at the next level.
