Gonzales looks every bit of 6’4″ and uses every inch as an advantage. He shows light feet and good foot work getting out of his stance. We really like his ability to look the pass in and catch the ball away from his body. He makes nice adjustments on deep passes and seems to track the ball really well, timing his catch to utilize his height to the best of his ability. The 2018 recruit is a load to take down, shows solid balance when going through tackle attempts, and is determined to get extra yardage. He’s got a ton of upside at the next level, just wait for him to start adding more serious weight and watch him really blossom. Gonzalez can easily end up weighing around 245, and become even more explosive in the process. Senior year he ended up with 891 yards, 13 TDs and 47 receptions, which is near the top in the state for TE prospects. This senior’s upside is at the FBS leve, and even if he slips to the FCS he will have the potential at being an All-Conference player.
2017 STATS: 891 Receiving Yards, 13 Receiving TD’s (14 Total) & 47 Receptions
