Markus was a machine this year with 14.5 sacks and 24 tackles for loss. He is a very aggressive player with good instincts and reaction timing, which allows him to really explode out of his stance. Markus a really tough player and has a second to none work ethic and you see that demonstrated consistently when he hustles after the ball carrier from the weakside for the tackle. He’s been a 3 year starter at Alpharetta, and is just a pure football player to the bone. I really like the way the senior plays the game, he looks like an ideal SDE at the next level. He doesn’t have the right height, but plays with a ton of energy, and is relentless getting off his blocks. Markus has a quick swim move, and shows good lateral quickness for his size. He can probably get to around 260 at the next level.
