Evans looks pretty good in pass coverage showing above average feel for the game and instincts cutting under the pass. He has solid speed and good balance out there on the field. Makes some huge tackles out on the flat. Gained 15 lbs. in the last year from our combine. I really like how secure of a tackler Evans is. He looks like a solid boundary corner. Does a good job in zone coverage and keeps his hips square up to the receiver. Needs to continue to work on lateral quickness and hip rotation in general. Want to see more PBU’s his senior, but there is a good bit sprinkled throughout his junior highlight. Has very good awareness out there on the field and makes intelligent breaks towards where the ball is headed, especially when in zone defense. He really has a good feel being in a zone, I could see a team being interested in playing him at FS over top despite being a little shorter for the position.
