Charles earned All-Region honors his junior year, and instantly stood out as a D1 athlete when we watched him on film. He needs some work getting off blocks and being more active when his hands, but love how quickly he closes on the ball carrier. He is fast to the football and given his 6’3″ 235 lbs. frame he shows some very good upside as a pass-rusher. Charles is an effective tackler using a lot of role tackles to get the ball carrier down. He holds his own against the run, stands up OL and scrapes off to make a play. Charles needs to take that jump to get off blocks, but I love his upside, and can see him being over 255 this time a year from now.
