What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I am a very hard working player, I love to compete. I’m a ball hawk

Edwards has above average length at 5’11” for a cornerback. He shows pretty solid hip bend, does a nice job of getting right in the receivers grill and back pedal looks legit. We saw him matched up with a wide variety of receivers, some freshman phenom, others seniors with FBS offers, but the resounding claim we can make is he doesn’t’ back down. Having good instincts at cornerback will only take Edwards so far, he needs to get serious in the weight room this offseason. He does a nice job of accelerating to the football, and does a pretty good job of meeting the ball carrier square in the numbers. His length and the tenacity he plays with will attract colleges from FBS/FCS. What really gets our attention is the amount of PBU’s he makes, and his ability to go up top and defend passes that are jump ball scenarios. From a fundamental stand point he needs more work. Backpedal could be quicker, needs to drop his hips more and improve his speed and flexibility.
