Great size and he is certainly working on his craft this offseason. He has a lot of upside and right now he just physically manhandles his opponent. Several colleges have shown some early interest in the big lineman. He certainly a recruit to watch going forward, loves contact. He played a much more natural position last fall at RT, and I really like the aggressiveness he has improved on. Really got motivated soph to junior year. Good grades and a nice test score to boot for Johnson, got to feel good about this student-athlete’s potential on becoming a well-rounded person on campus. He is just so large, it’s hard to see colleges not being all over Johnson over the next year and him earning plenty of D1 offers. Lack of competition will be the biggest critique, but I like the hip bend and quickness in his first step to play at a high level.
