Cass was a much better team in 2019, and a big reason why is their 2021 running back carrying the load. At already 200 lbs. Gbadie has excellent size and the powerful legs needed to push the pile forward. Pretty explosive player in the open field, but was mostly running in between the tackles and didn’t get many opportunities to get into the open field. Also, his running stride needs to improve and want to see him pick his feet up more when in the open field. No doubt, the better the competition was where you saw the 2021 recruit fade away in production. Against Kell and Carrollton he was mostly bottled up, they even just did straight wildcat with to get the ball into his hands. Which brings us to our 2020 prediction. With the former Kell OL coach taking over at Cass, we are expecting some good development, especially with the team’s run blocking, so we think the 2021 back is set for a huge senior year here and should break into the D1 school’s radar.
