Michael Wilson – ATH
Lithia Springs

#9 ATHLETE

HT: 6’1″
WT: 215
Class: 2021

Even as a freshman Wilson was making an impact on his team, and rushed for about 500 yards. Considering he was already 6′ and 200 lbs, he was certainly a recruit to target at the time. His squad has certainly improved over the last few years, and they even made the first round of the playoffs in 2019. Wilson was more of a linebacker this year, at 6’1″ and 215 lbs. that’s an appropriate position for him. He needs some work with his tackling technique, doesn’t get choppy with his feet going into an attempt and it’s easy to see him missing tackles with more elusive ball carriers. There is a lot athletic upside with Wilson, but he has not made the complete jump that we were looking for either. Needs to get a lot more flexible in the hips, doesn’t change directions very well. He is a straight line runner when he does have the football. Wilson might get overlooked for a little during recruiting, but should find some solid holding among FCS programs.
