Merriweather is definitely another FBS caliber DB over at Carver-Col. He hits with authority. Plays with a ton of intensity and physicality. The 2022 recruit doesn’t take the best pursuit angles, and needs to slow down when closing on a ball carrier, but his acceleration and ability to hit top speed is what makes him so interesting as a recruit. Merriweather is an FBS athlete. He looks pretty good in coverage, jams receivers at the LOS and moves feet well with the WR for a safety. Wouldn’t mind seeing him some at CB given his frame. Open field tackling is just so good. By far his best skill set.
