Smith actually shows a lot of upside, and I really like the leg drive he shows while blocking. He is sneaky quick moving up field, and can get to the 2nd level fast. I like his arm length, which appears to well above average. Smith is a big hitter, he left a really good Cedar Shoals DL on the ground in a heap. Smith is relentless getting after his man. He needs to add more weight, be closer to 290 at the next level. I could see option teams being really interested in Smith. Smith has been playing some center this year for Loganville, and I like it. His naturally quick feet allows for him to change directions well and block in the a-gap. Smith is finishing his blocks really well, and I know we sound like a broken record, but looking at his body composition, and how well he moves, and I just don’t see option-based teams do not go after him. He’s not a burner moving up field, but plays with urgency, and think moving to OG in a triple system would work well for Smith.
