Let’s be real, not a lot of colleges were looking at the backup for one of the top running backs in the country last year, but Howard was definitely a good player in his limited reps. He has a nice hesitation move at the LOS, displaces quickly laterally and shows above average acceleration. Really shows quick feet, changes pace very well, just a natural at reading the defenders. Still not there yet completely with balance, but there is some legit flashes here, especially if he gets stronger in the lower body and breaks a few more tackles. He should have a big senior year honestly. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him go over 1500 yards, and to jump all over D1 schools’ recruiting boards.
