Stephens played a lot of roles last year over at Sprayberry, and with several seniors out of the defensive backfield, Stephens will absolutely have a chance to make an even bigger impact. Biggest thing I want to see with Stephens is gaining weight. He is putting work in the weight room, improving his form a good bit, so he is going through the right steps, but at 150 lbs., he’s going to need to beef up heading into his final year of football. Stephens shows good energy on special teams, and is a good gang tackler too. Going against Dalton, Stephens lined up a lot at FS, and made some good tackles against a P5 caliber RB. I think he looks like a good NB prospect, but needs to really ramp things up the next 4-5 months before the season.
