What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
The love for the game that I have. When I step on the field I have a mindset that I can't be stopped. I am an athlete that can play linebacker as well as safety in which I can cover to. At linebacker I can come off the off the edge strong rushing the quarterback and making him have to scramble or get sacked.
Simmons shows great speed out in space and is a really tenacious tackler when given the opportunity. He’s getting his shot as a varsity starter this year for Central Gwinnett and making a terrific impact. This season is showing nice coverage skills guarding the inside slot, using his strength to get the off balance on their release. Biggest area he needs to improve is gaining more weight, and he might have to play safety or some sort of hybrid role at the next level. His tough demeanor is well suited to make plays on special teams right off the bat for a college program. Looks to have good length and rotates hips over quickly in man coverage. Nice timing on his break ups. Senior plays the game the right way, he hustles after the ball carrier until he is down even that means he is running 50-60 yards down field. Central Gwinnet could have used several more guys like him on their defense this year.
