Hazelton flows to the football well, and plays with solid urgency in pursuit of the ball carrier. He shows the ability to play off the edge but the versatility to play more off the line and be more active in coverage. Tries to use his agility to get around blocks. Makes some nice reads in pass coverage, pretty impressed with that consistent trait. He can line up in man coverage and shows above average play recognition and reacts to the play accordingly. Hazelton is a good tackler, he comes in with good momentum and is pretty solid at meeting the ball carrier low at the waist, but does have the tendency to tackle higher at profile level too. Would like to see his strike zone to remain lower. Good activity getting off blocks and above average motor really impacts the run. Next step for his coverage is to get better at reading the pass and getting his head around on deeper balls. Overall I like the senior a good bit.
