Adams is now a two time first team all-region linebacker for Walton. He is built like a brick house and has the frame to add on another 20-30 pounds and should not lose hardly any speed. In the last year he’s already added about 10 pounds. Adams gets downhill, shows above average instincts reading the play and reacting. He is a hitter, and will pop the ball carrier right on his back. He is relentless attacking the ball carrier, and gets downhill as a run stopper. He finishes too, and that is a consistent them on his film, when Adams makes contact, the ball carrier goes down. He does it against all talent too – P5 players or FCS. It doesn’t matter, he gets them down. We would like to see him work on his lateral quickness more, he demonstrates good straight line speed, but moving side-to-side could be better. He is an effective run stopper no doubt, but would like to see more happening while defending the pass. Either way, Adams shows a lot of the tools that FBS squads like, especially the brutality he hits with.
