What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

As one of just three sophomore starters on our varsity football team, I am very passionate about football. That includes working hard in weights, practice, and the classroom. I am a leader on my team, and I make sure if people aren’t doing the right things, I try to correct them and lead them in the right direction. I believe I am a very coachable player. I will do anything a coach says we need to do to get better. When I do wrong or mess up on the field or classroom I own it, and make sure I do better the next time.

Gomez is built like a tank, and just unloads some massive tackles in the box. He can push the pile back using his stout wide frame. Very tough in run support, and does a nice job of anticipating the play. Gomez needs to a better job using his hands to get off blocks, and his lateral quickness needs to better too. Needs to keep pads parallel to LOS, will help a lot with his pursuit angles. He could very well be better suited as a FB at the next level considering how hard he can hits and his tremendous size at 245 lbs. Gomez is a straight-line hitter who can plug the middle and effective vs the run inside the tackles but more than anything, you are getting a physically tough player who does whatever his team needs to win.
