Crossfield was mostly a special teams player for the varsity, and also played some JV at CB. The 6’2″ athlete projects very well playing off the edge. He accelerates quickly and shows zero hesitation taking on a blocker as seen in his early varsity special teams work. Crossfield is the type of athlete that could really explodes in terms of weight. His tackling is okay. Needs to do a better job of squaring up his attempts and actually wrapping up. You can tell that Crossfield has relied heavily on his size at lower levels, but will need to shore up fundamentals tackling to be a good SS or OLB – wherever he ends up. Seems more like a strong safety. Will need to see him actually make a legit impact at the varsity level.
