What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I believe that what makes me stand out as a future athlete is my ability to play multiple positions on the field, and my ability to lead my other teammates. This past season, I was heading into the season as a linebacker and our three games in, our starting center went down with an injury and I stepped up. Not having played center at all in my life, I started the 8 games at center. My stats at linebacker this past season in 2 games were 7 tackles, including a sack. My stats during the 8 games at center were 9 pancake blocks and 4 big blocks. I am hoping to play linebacker this season and have a strong senior campaign.

Jaynes played on a really tough Marist defense that played with a no-nonsense mindset. The tough 2019 linebacker does a good job of hustling after the ball carrier from the backside. I like how he keeps his feet moving after the initial contact. He is an effort type of player, whose biggest advantage right now is his never stop attitude. Looks like he even played offensive line some last fall, even with a soft cast on he started 6 games for his squad. He gets good leverage, would like to see that translate more to the defensive side of the ball where he gets off blocks quicker. Another aspect of Jaynes game that we would like to see a jump is his lateral quickness. Seeing him moves across the line of scrimmage and make solo tackles out in space next fall will really bolster his recruitment. Good tough football player though, and a quality test score will surely attract colleges during the 2019 recruiting cycle.
