What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

In just his first year at Woodward Academy, Landon Walker was able to get his team to the state championship in 6A. Where he stands out his ability to hurt a defense with his legs. The 2025 dual-threat passer has the escapability to constantly keep the defense on their toes. His quickness and adept running style where he does a good job of getting up north south allows Walker to cut through a defense. His running is certainly an asset, but as a passer, he is just as good. Walker goes through his progressions with a lot of patience and has a quick release. Watching him climb the ladder in the pocket and the general reactivity he shows while in the pocket suggest that Walker is a well-schooled passer with a lot of polish going into the college level. In the state title game, he settled into the offense and was able to create good offense against 6A’s top defense. So where he can improve, getting more explosive with his feet and his arm would certainly take his recruitment to another level. We would like to see more zip on his intermediate throws. No doubt, Walker is the type of QB who can lead a program to big games, as shown in 2023, and we think he is the type of passer that option-based offenses should be all over. Walker’s comfort in the pocket and ability to throw while under pressure cannot be stated enough and is an underrated part of his game.
