Wise continues to impress during his varsity career making a whole lot of plays for his team. He might not have the star reputation or measurable like some of his peers, but is still an equal when you take in account his football IQ and field vision. He does a great job of reading the QB’s eyes, and makes elite jumps on the play. His tackling has continued to come along, and he does an excellent job of finishing. I really like how he shows zero hesitation, just going full bore into the ball carrier. Wise is a strong player, and can pack a punch too. This offseason we would like to see him continue to make progress on his speed and lateral quickness. Would not be surprised to see him get more offensive snaps with key playmakers leaving the team next year.

What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

“I have spent several years playing the game, so I am fundamentally sound in several positions both offensive and defense. As a sophomore I am the starting strong safety and kick returner. I also back-up as running back and slot receiver.

I also take honors classes and maintain good grades so I know how to be a good student athlete.

I was selected by my classmates to represent the class of 2019 as one of the student peer-to-peer counselors, because I am a good friend and listener. The club is called Sources of Strength. I am also a member of SGA.”
