Odom was one of the leading receivers in Class A private and a favorite target of Kleinpeter’s for the last few years. The 2022 recruit has a personal best time of 10.71 100m from this spring, and he blows by defensive backs like they are running in sand. He consistently just burns the defense. Odom doesn’t do much in terms of running routes, and doesn’t look particularly crisp coming out his breaks but the explosion he has coming out his release is enough to get a ton of separation. Odom is pretty good catching the football away from his body and has several contested catches with the defense all over him, but he consistently beats the DB so much that he doesn’t have much resistance when hauling in a pass. Odom is legit one of the fastest WR’s in the state of Georgia. Lob the football up and watching him run underneath it. I do like the body control he shows after catching the football and he consistently keeps his feet after making a tough catch. Odom has a handful of G5 offers but really deserves more looks. You cannot teach the speed in which he plays, and more you watch his film the more you’ll be impressed with the smaller things he does. That running stride though, Odom is legit a burner.
