152 tackles 2018 season, all region co-defensive player of the year, GACA all state team
Hawkins is a big hitter at Marion Co. and if he gets you in his sights he goes full tilt into the tackle. A consistent theme on film is him just stampeding through the ball carrier. He makes a lot of tackles both in the box and out on the perimeter. He has legit speed, so he makes a good bit of plays where he comes from backside to make a tackle. In some cases he even travels 20-40 yards down field just to make a tackle. Hawkins was one of the state leaders with 150 tackles on the year. He is all over the place and just never stops pursuing the ball carrier.
