What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Explosive

The senior running back has been ultra-efficient on the ground in 2025. He does a great job of picking his holes, and is elusive at the 2nd level to get around linebackers and safeties. Tarver is averaging 10 yards per carry for a reason. Maybe even more impressive is 8 touchdowns on just 45 carries; that kind of production is wild. What I like the most about Tarver is his ability to make hard, subtle cuts in tight spaces, then get vertical with his pads. That’s where his good top-end acceleration can come into play. Tarver has good pad level and natural forward lean, so when he gets into the hole, he is constantly falling forward. Tarver’s ability to make a defender miss, though, that’s where he is truly unique. He has a good frame to continue to add weight, which supports his run style. And while he is elusive, the senior back knows when to drop his shoulder, get low, and drive his legs through contact for extra yardage. He is splitting carries with another talented SR back, so while they cut into each other’s production, they yield the best running back tandem in 2A and perhaps the entire state. Tarver is a bit of a hidden gem at the moment. He is well trained, you can see that with his footwork around the LOS, but also how he carries the football. Should be a good D1 RB at the next level.
