Calhoun is a wide load who uses his shear mass to get a really good push. He is a straight-up bulldozer performing good bit of pancakes last year, especially when he just has to block the man straight in front of him. Senior year, Calhoun really does look quicker, and man does his shear size make a difference. He is just mauling his guy down field, and seems to be playing with more urgency in general. He is a power run lineman who is best suites in a straight up power run offense. Core strength and balance were a concern heading into this year, but he seems a lot more under control, and much more athletic in space. His progress was exactly what we were looking for in his senior film. If he’s a legit 6’2″ then we think he can play FCS football. This guy carries his weight really well and with the proper strength training and conditioning you will be getting a potential beast run blocker.
