King has wide shoulders and can turn and square up on a pass creating some natural separation. At 6’3″ the wide receiver shows a lot of solid qualities you look for in a possession receiver. He is a smart player, reads his QB and breaks off his route to make himself more open. Going out to the sideline he can shield the defender from the pass. His route running is okay, but you could certainly see an improvement in his footwork, especially on on release. Looks like he starts with his weight on back foot. King has some really solid upside though, and good bit of D1’s should show interest. Either the degree of difficulty of his catches need to improve or his overall top end speed – either way the big framed receiver might see his recruitment take a hit until he shows more on film this fall.
