What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field and consistently try to find ways to improve. All county and All region honors last season and my stats so far into the season are 148 carries for 1384 yards with an average of 9.4ypc, 16 tds
Sims has been a multiyear starter for Starr’s Mill and does a really good job of reading the defense and following his blocks. He is a quick reactor, so when a defender gets off a block, Sims has already changed direction and uses that to his advantage. he keeps his pads pretty low, and does a nice job driving his legs through multiple tacklers. Sims does not hesitate to make the cut back. He’s pretty physical runner out on the perimeter, but seems to do his best running in between the tackles at this point. He’s going to end up pretty close to 200 lbs in college, but needs some work in weight room for right now. Nice balance where he breaks tackles and keeps his feet, and there should be a lot more if he got his lifts up I think. He’s a very good option at running back.
