Roberson only played 3 games last season and totaled 23 tackles, 1 FF, 1 INT and 2 PBU’s. The 2018 recruit is the younger brother of Christian Roberson – a TE at Miss State. We expect Roberson’s role to expand this fall. His team is very strong defensively so he doesn’t have the longest highlight reel for that reason. Doesn’t look like he is playing completely full time though and mostly on passing situations. This year he has 31 tackles just to prove that. He’s a great athlete, very explosive first step and an elite vertical jump which allows him to make plays over top. Tackling fundamentals look to be improved and he is showing a ton of hustle pursuit of the ball carrier. Roberson is a great student and he makes a ton of impact plays for his squad regularly. He can an instant special teams contributor. Great kid, very involved in community service.
