Ezeokonkwo is a great open field tackler and seems to relish contact out in space. He really squares up on the ball carrier quickly using his really good agility. The 2019 recruit an opportunistic defensive player, but doesn’t always go for the pick, and has the where with all to rake the pass out. He displays a nice hip swivel, and a nice back pedal in coverage. Seems to lose track of the pass some and mostly face guards the wide receiver than play the ball. That’s a major area for improvement, and judging from his height, tackling ability, he might just be better suited to play nickle at the next level. A lot to like about him though, and he is all ready with his test score.
