Tate looks like a very fluid athlete. He wraps up his tackles and keeps his head up. He is really impressive at squaring up to the offensive player and very physical at the point of attack on blocks. Impressive varsity film already for this young HS athlete who will suiting up this fall at SW DeKalb after playing his first two years at Chamblee. Tate has continued to physically mature, and this season he is playing very close to the line of scrimmage. Against Stephenson they went into a 5-2 front 7 and had Tate playing off the edge. He’s just a mentally tougher player, and is a capable of going toe-to-toe with the big uglies but at the same time we saw him out guard the slot against heavier pass teams like Arabia Mountain. JR film has certainly showcased his mental toughness out there on the field – bare minimum.
