Gibbons has made some progress in the weight room over the last year increasing every category by almost 80 pounds. He runs fairly crisp comeback routes and decent enough hands – he does a good job of looking it in. Heading into this season we were curious to see how the extra strength will help out his in-game performance. His run blocking, which has always been a strength, has certainly improved, and he does a great job of laying the wood cracking back on pursuit. He’s built a good relationship with his QB over the years, timing is solid on the short routes and he gets up field fast. Overall his body of work has been impressive, and he is a great recruit for a run-heavy spread offense where his physicality can be utilized.
